 NDCS believes that every deaf child should be valued by society and have the same opportunities as any other child.
NDCS's mission is to remove the barriers to the achievement of deaf children throughout the world.
Our services include:
- a Freephone helpline
- a network of family officers
- events for families and young deaf people including Newly Identified Weekends and Activity Weekends/Weeks
- free membership to parents and carers of deaf children
- free publications for parents and professionals
- a purpose built Listening Bus travelling across UK to various schools, councils and audiology clinics
- an equipment loan scheme and grants to help parents on low incomes to buy essential equipment
- lobbying politicians, local authorities and companies on issues ranging from schools to health care
