Changing lives through sport & playWelcome to the Gold Challenge with Right To Play. Who are Right To Play? We are a charity that works all over the world with children who are born into poverty, illness, war zones and refugee camps. We use sport as a way to work with these children to help improve their lives. How do we do this? Sport and games help children to learn important life skills, such as teamwork, how to look after themselves and stay healthy, how to solve problems and conflict. When children learn through sport, they find it easier to remember what they have learned and have fun! We raise money to train coaches and young people to run our games. They can then work with thousands of children in their local community or school, with regular sporting activity that will change lives. If you believe that sport can change lives, you have come to the right place. The Challenge This is a challenge that will open up new sports to you and your family, test your ability in sports you already know, and who knows – you might find you have a talent you never knew you had! By fundraising for Right To Play, your donations will help improve the lives of children in need across the world through our sport and play programmes. For example: £5 Just £5 will teach a child about malaria, meaning that they are less likely to contract the disease, and they can detect the symptoms in themselves, their family and friends in time to treat the disease. £25 For only £25, we can include a child in our programmes so that they participate in regular, weekly sport and play activity for a whole year, teaching them skills vital life skills. £120 will train a local member of a community to become a Right To Play leader and teach our games. That leader will help hundreds of children in the community and ensure that our programmes are long lasting and sustainable. So don’t delay, sign up to Right To Play today. We are looking for families who want to combine a sporting challenge with having a tangible impact on the lives of children in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and South America. By challenging yourself to learn new skills, you will also be raising money to improve the lives of some of the most disadvantaged children in the world through our Sport for Development programmes. –We are currently working with 700,000 children our aim is to work with one million by 2012, with your help we can make this a reality By signing up to the Gold Challenge with Right To Play you are promoting every child’s right to play.
