Whizz-Kidz is a disabled children's charity working to ensure that every disabled child has an opportunity to be something special... a kid. Whizz-Kidz is the only disabled children's charity that strives to reach the 70,000 children across the UK in need of the correct mobility equipment, not currently provided by the NHS. With the correct equipment, training, life skills, social networking and work placements, disabled children and young people can lead more active, happier and independent childhoods at school, at home and at play. The difference that independent mobility makes to a disabled child's life is immeasurable. Without it, disabled children often become withdrawn and reliant on others. Every time we deliver a new piece of equipment, the transformation is immense and instant. Often, for the first time, these children can enjoy being themselves - children who just want to have fun! Whizz-Kidz gives kids the chance to be kids.
