Walton-on-the-Naze Sea Cadets (Essex) are already taking part in sailing, shooting and archery as part of their regular programme. The cadets are planning to record their participation in these three sports as part of their Five Sport Challenge, and one of the senior cadets is liaising with local clubs to set up canoeing and volleyball challenges.

16 year old Harry told us what excited him about the Gold Challenge:

"The fact that you're able to try new sports that you might not usually try without having to actually join a club. Plus, it gets you involved a bit with the Olympic sports."
